So I sent in my application this morning, but I didn't realize that my referee/center had to approve my application. My application probably won't be approved until tomorrow. Does this mean my chances at Oxford are ruined?

update: my teacher just approved my application.

Can I call or e-mail someone to see if Oxford will still consider my application?

Every year on TSR someone posts that they have missed the deadline. Unfortunately, this year, it's you.

They will be a bit lenient and allow applications that are only a few minutes late (but you really shouldn't count on this), but you were too late. It's possible to substitute the choice now and pick another uni, or you could wait for the inevitable rejection.

"If you want to study at Oxford, you need to apply a year before the start date of your course by completing an online UCAS application form at www.ucas.com. Applications open in early September and there is a strict deadline of 6pm (UK time) on 15 October. Your application must be complete - including the reference - and submitted before the deadline. Late applications cannot be accepted."

I'm sorry but you are going to be rejected - as Juno says substitute your choice on Track ASAP or cancel your application completely for a refund if you're not interested in other UK universities.
