I'm currently in my second year at university. After I graduate with a degree in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) and Linguistics, I have aspirations to relocate to Singapore and work for a multinational company, perhaps in the communications or marketing sector. Next week, the multinational company P&G will be visiting my university, looking for language graduates to promote employability opportunities. The visit of this company has inspired me to push for my goals and be as determined as possible. The only thing is that I am slightly fearful that a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics will not be enough to peruse my dream or working within the communications sector and persuading my aspirations to relocate to Singapore will be a setback. Therefore I ask any British graduates living or working in Singapore or the surrounding SE Asia region, what were the processes involved in relocating and how easy/difficult was it to get experience and employment in large multinational companies. I would be very grateful for any information given as it would allow me to start planning now to give myself a realistic goal.
