I'm self studying maths and further maths for a level and i want to clear up some questions i have. I've been told that I need to do six modules for AS maths and six for AS further maths, the problem is when i checked the specification online it said that for maths i have to do 2 papers called pure mathematics and statistics and mechanics. On the FM spec it says i have to pick from certain options.

I was going to do C1, C2 and M1 for AS maths and FP1, M2 and S1 for AS further maths but now I'm not sure what I'm doing now. which exams am i supposed to be doing? which ones do i need to qualify for an A-Level

The modules were for the old spec. You just missed out.

For the current spec for AS, you have to do the pure mathematics and the stats and mechanics paper just like you said.
