I'm in year 12 and I'm quite interested in engineering like aerospace, mechanical and civil, but I'm also interested in drug development, development of materials etc. I know top unis don't like it when you apply to completely different courses but would applying for engineering and chemical engineering (via engineering) at Cambridge be acceptable to them, or would they see me as too unsure of my career path?
You can only apply to one course at Cambridge, not both. You can also change your mind about your engineering specialisation during the first year - many do.

Any ChemEngineers applying via Engineering do exactly the same course as the other engineers in the first year. It's only the 2nd year onwards that is different.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
