What is the difference between potential difference and the absolute potential energy watch

    • Thread Starter

I understand that Voltage is the work done per unit charge and the absolute electric potential energy is the work done in bringing a point charge from infinity to a particular point in the field (r distance away from Q1) but the equations appear to be different and I'm not understanding the difference these two, based on the definitions wouldn't they be the same thing as there's work being done per charge ?
