Hi, I did the ukcat and last week and during the test there was a disruption and the computer shut down

Anyways I contacted pearson vue and they investigated -turns out I lost 50 seconds during the decision making subtest

Now I know that's not a lot but keep in mind this whole tests point is the time limit and it did really put the pressure on me

I got 650 average, band 2- I know I could've done better (the whole day started out crap) but that's besides the point my point is should I contact ukcat and if they let me, take the test again this year?

I've submitted my ucas application and I'm not sure what kind of implications this will have or whether unis might view this negatively

    What do you guys think?

ps I'm also doing the BMAT for camb.

Personally, I think you should have contacted and filled in the form as soon as it happened and retaken the test before the deadline, I think it might be too late now, I would just sit the BMAT

650 is respectable, should be fine depending on your universities. There's no guarantee that you'll do better, so I would just leave it.

As far as I'm aware, you cannot re-take the test in the same year under any circumstances. However, since you contacted them, I would assume they will have made a note of the 50 second time loss and will pass that on to your universities - although I would phone them up to confirm that this is the case. 50 seconds in DM really isn't a huge amount - probably 1 question or 2 at the absolute best, so even if you could retake it, I'd imagine it's unlikely to make any significant difference.

Nothing I could've done about that, they somehow displaced my email, and took 3 weeks to investigate and get back to me
