I'm an incoming american student (New York) coming to study for the Spring semester in the U.K. and was wondering for any tips on popular places to meet new people and cultural differences that I should probably know so I don't look like a fool when I talk to someone haha. Anything would be great, thanks!

    "Cultural differences"
HAHAHAHA. Not really, we just copy everything America does and make it worse, why would anyone come on a study abroad from the US to here, it's virtually identical.

I seriously doubt we could be that identical. Plus you guys have a bunch of cheap transportation to other countries which is plus. I'm pretty stoked to visit honestly.

What uni will you be going to? I highly doubt you can visit many other countries due to how unis here timetable lectures and seminars.

I'm going to be attending Hertfordshire. What do you mean by timetable lectures?

Here usually you only have a few lectures or seminars a day so travelling is quite difficult as the hours are incredibly random.

It's really not that different culturally, but the amount charged to quality of education ratio is much better.
