# A Level Maths/ GCSE Further Maths: How to change the subject of this equation? watch

1. I've been going over changing the subject of a formula for my A-level C2 Maths and I can't work out this question:
(x+c)/d = 2(x+e)/f
'Make x the subject'
Can anyone help me out?
2. Multiply both sides by df, expand the brackets and rearrange and factorise again if needed to make x the subject. Hopefully that works, that's the general method I would use for most problems like this.

Great, thank you!
