I went on the offer calculator the other day and typed in my predicted grades (A*,A*,A,A.) I got 'likely unconditional' for both the Philosophy and Philosophy and Sociology courses but only 'likely' for Philosophy and Politics. I thought this was weird as the straight Philosophy course has higher entry requirements than the PolPhil one. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whether this is a glitch with the calculator, or whether PolPhil don't offer them (or maybe the problem is just me lol!)

The offer calculator is only a rule of thumb. You are better off making an informal enquiry to the department direct as its always their discretion. Sometimes joint courses can be more competitive or it doesnt say because the calculator doesnt have the data or it needs the confirmation from two departments.

Just ask if you want a quick answer, its one only they can give.
