    Hi natalia,

We send ID straight back once it has been processed. The time scale is dependent on what nationality the ID is and what kind of application has been made.

Is it UK, EU/EEA or rest of the world ID that has been sent? What kind of application did you make? (SFE, EU, PGL etc)

    Thanks,

    Stuart

    Hi natalia,

It's currently 12 working days to process EU ID for that sort of application. It will then be returned to you Special Delivery, which is a 'next working day' service.

    Stuart

Thank you very much. I would also like to ask whether is compulsory to have a national insurance number in order to get the loan. I am an EU and I dont have one.

    HI natalia.t,

You do not need to have a National Insurance Number if you are an EU national applying for a Postgraduate Loan (PGL). We can process and approve your application without this although it may still show up as required on the To Do List on your online account but you can just disregard this.

    Thanks

    Laura
