CIE Computer Science only consists of written paper in exam and not really test your programming skills unlike AQA Computer Science which consists of on-screen test and coursework.

I will take A Level next year so what is your opinion? Should I take CIE Computer Science? (my school doesn't offer AQA)

    Hard? Debatable.

However testing your programming ability doesn't make it more useful - in some ways, it may make it less. The vast majority universities don't require or even particularly value having prior programming experience as in A-level CS or otherwise for Computer Science and related courses, and for professional things you would be better in a more applied BTEC or similar where you have much more extensive working experience of the area.

So useful probably leans on the far side of debatable.
