I know that I'm lucky in terms of student finance. I get a lot, but this monetary amount exceeds the 'maximum' amount of money that you're supposed to get even if your parents earn less then 25K a year. The max you're supposed to get is 8.2K if they earn less than or equal to 25K a year, I get a sizable amount more. My first question is; how come?
My second question relates to my uni's bursary scheme. The man i spoke to today at student services (at my uni) about the bursary stated that my Parent income was listed as over 25K, however, surely my student finance would reflect this if it was?

Thank's for satisfying my curiosity in advance!!

You get more than 8k if you live in London and away from home. Considering your household income is under 25K
