Hey can anyone help me on how to factorise. I’m in Year 11 and I still don’t get it!! 😫

what questions are you struggling with? Put it simply, it just means you rewrite an expression or equation as a simplified version as a product of its factors. Take a simple expression x^2+9x for example. To rewrite it as a product of it's prime factors is basically realising that both terms have a common factors which is x. Therefore, you want to divide the term by x which would give you \frac {(x^2+9x)}x. Therefore, your answer would be x+9 and because you have divided by x you would write it on the outside. So it would look something like this x(x+9).
does this help you so I can explain you the more complicated quadratics and cubics.
