Do most sports trials take place at uni during or after freshers week

Do they have different kinds of sports at uni's too? I mean i'm a semi-sporty guy and i'm decent at most sports but i don't really excel at one certain one.

I don't mind m'tain biking and rock/mountain climbing but will there be clubs/societies or actual sports teams for these kind of sports? i play tennis decently so that's definately going to be provided i imagine. i also play a lot of floor hockey (not field) here but i imagine you guys don't do that in the UK?

Depends on the uni.

All will have some sports. Some have more than thers. I seem to remember Loughborough has loads of sporty people. (I'll be corrected if I'm wrong)

Have a look at the uni webpage for facilities, and don't forget just because you are at uni doesn't stop you using sports clubs outside uni.

some uni where the sport is quite high level may even have them before term starts (i.e. oxbridge rowing) - so may be worth double checking!
