    Hi all!

Been stuck on this for a while now and haven't found any recent content/ help on completing the SAQ, specifically the additional personal statement for applying to read engineering.

What I have found is that it is a good idea to talk about how varied the Cambridge engineering course is, but haven't really found more than that.

Does anyone have tips on how we could write/ structure this personal statement?

    Regards
    Ty

The extra personal statement is optional, so if there isn't anything you want to mention you should leave it blank. You could write what you like about the Cambridge course or mention something you didn't have the place to on your main personal statement, but usually it used by applicants for subjects like NatSci because they, for example, apply to single science courses elsewhere.

    Thanks for your response

I have applied to all aerospace engineering courses and put quite an emphasis on it in my personal statement, how would you recommend I show an interest in a broader course than just aero?

So, why *do* you want to study the broader course at Cambridge? That's what you put... or not, it's fine to leave it blank.

By the way, about a third of Cambridge student change their originally intended specialisation. That's one of the benefits of the broad course... experiencing the other areas and deciding which one really is best for you.
