hey guys i'm filling in my Cambridge SAQ atm. For the bit that asks "Is there anything else you would like us to know?" would I be able to give some detail about my educational circumstances?

I go to a comprehensive school w/ low grades on average that essentially never sends to oxbridge. I know that Camb flags these kind of schools, but unfortunately, this is restricted to UK schools only. I live in a British overseas territory, so while I follow the exact educational system, my school does not get included.

Should I give this a mention so that the admissions tutors can contextualise my application or shall I just leave it be?

and is that particular place appropriate for bringing this up or am I misunderstanding the purpose of that section of the SAQ?

would really appreciate any help thanks!!

I think yes, I mentioned how my school didn't have any experience with UK applications so the reference might have been not fitting, so no harm in mentioning what you want to mention

You don't think they'd see it as me trying to find excuses for an offer right?

Thank you for your quick response do you think there's a better way to phrase it that doesn't sound like i'm begging for sympathy/criticising my school?

I currently have it written along the lines of:

''I currently attend a Comprehensive school with minimal experience regarding Oxbridge applications"

what do you think? sorry for bugging :P

I'm not completing your SAQ but put whatever best explains the context of your application. Criticism is valid if it's deserved. For example, it might be useful to also mention if the school is underperforming compared to others in your region/country.
