I'm applying to Russell Group unis like Nottingham, Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh all of which require AAA with an A in maths. My predictions are AAB(B in maths), however I fully expect to get an A in maths. Due to personal reasons affecting my AS maths I wasn't able to be predicted an A. Am I crazy to only apply to AAA courses hoping to get offers. Do I stand any chance with AAB predictions (especially if I'm not doing further maths) of getting an offer. I've looked at unis for comp sci with lower grade requirements but I just don't like them. So I know that even if I applied to them as a 'backup' I would never actually enrol. I have no problems going to a lesser uni but I particularly liked these ones, can anyone with some knowledge give me some advice.
