I have spotted a small mistake in the P2 revision notes.
On page 1, under the subheading (2) Functions, it states that

If g : x --> 2x
h : x --> x-3

then gh = 2(x-3)
gh = 2x-3

where it should be: gh = 2x-6

Otherwise great notes,

Regards

I found this useful: http://www.blacksacademy.co.uk/htdoc...a06c544cf9139e

It covers loads and loads of boards and modules.
I think there's a few revision notes, but mainly questions with full solutions.
The Edexcel questions are pretty much out of the text book, so it can sometimes be helpful to see they way they're solved (or how similar types of problems are solved).

[Note that by clicking 'Subject and Syllabuses' you get stuff for other subjects, if you want]

Here are typed revision notes I made for P6/FP3. Revision notes aren't too useful at this time of the year but perhaps someone will find some use for them in the future.

Dear Maths buddies

Im going to be studying AS Level Maths in september with the hope of going into financial employment pref accountant, banker etc.

I have chosen M1 instead of S1 which iwas advised would be better, but also S1 would less interesting than M1 especially since i liked physics.

Today is my first post and i have decided to share with you a great website

http://www.mathcentre.ac.uk/students.php/mathematics/

this website has helped me alot with getting back into maths, i was just wondering if anyone knows any websites similar to it where by they provide teach yourself materials etc.

all the best

Lol I post a thread asking people for good websites and nobody replies :p: Good thing I stumbled upon this!!
I must have missed that one!

Apart from mathsnet, which is well structured (but just for maths obviously) but less well frequented than TSR, there's also the NRICH site for "serious" mathmos: http://nrich.maths.org/

They have a good maths discussion board there (you need to register, and some areas are private) run/supported by some of the Cambridge mathmos.

www.examsolutions.co.uk contains practice papers and model solutions for maths AS & A level revision.

The site also contains links to lots of useful resources for Edexcel, OCR, OCR (MEI) and AQA exam boards, such as syllabuses, specimen papers, formula sheet, recommended textbooks and exam timetables!

here's links to their free papers!
C1 Paper
C2 Paper
M1 Paper
S1 Paper

The papers are based on the Edexcel syllabus and come with complete model solutions. More practice papers are available on the website.
