    I would definitely do DofE because it gives you something extra to talk about on your CV and makes you seem like you do more things. To be honest no one cares much about your GCSE subjects or how many you did once you get to A-Levels - you can always talk about your DofE.

    Do DofE because you want to, not just as a tick box exercise for your CV - it takes more effort than that.
