Hi there, I have been looking for work experience for an extremely long time now. About 2 days ago I was given the idea of doing placement or recruitment in a care home.
My question is whats the difference in both of them? My last question is will I get paid in these as I am willing to work on weekends because I am a full time student at college.

    Thank you.

A placement would be for a short length of time, usually only a couple of weeks. Placements are usually unpaid, although they're not something that is generally seen in the care sector.
Recruitment is a weird way to phrase it. A care home would undertake recruitment for a job, but then you would be applying for the job. Recruitment is a word that is only applied to the company doing the employing - it's a bit like the difference between the words "lend" and "borrow". So if you wanted to get a job, because a care home is recruiting, this would be paid. But it would be a permanent position and you would be expected to be there for a long time.
