Today my ex-boyfriend messaged me to tell me that he and his current boyfriend has Syphilis. He messaged to say I should get checked. I am going to the clinic tomorrow for a full sexual health check-up. I have never shown any signs of Syphilis and as of today have never been informed a past partner has had the disease. They have both been together for three months. Prior to that one month after we split up.

If I were to give my ex the virus, surely it would have shown at least one symptom in the time span that we were together. And that being 12 months. And it seems strange to me that my ex and his new boyfriend both got symptoms around the same time.

Do you expect from what’s written I likely have the virus?

Sometimes people don’t show certain symptoms, sometimes none at all, it’s hard to say without you being checked by a doctor so I’d wait and see, but it sounds unlikely anyway.
    Hopefully your clear 👍🏼

It doesn't sound like it's likely, so of course don't panic or anything, but it's totally worth being checked. Maybe your ex could've had it before getting with you, got it after you broke up, or got it from his current boyfriend. Good luck tomorrow!

Don't get yourself stressed, just have a test and when you get the results go from there. Good luck
