    generally it would be during office hours as that's when people are in universities unless ucas takes it time to process decisions.

    Over my years on TSR I've read posts from people who received offers at strange times, but it's relatively rare for the reasons given above.

    Thanks. As a side question, let's say I'm applying for Physics (I'm not but let's just say I am). Obviously the Physics admissions tutor will read my details and come to a verdict about my place on the course, but would the other Physics lecturers/staff read my application, or is it just the admissions tutors only?

    generally it's just admissions who are responsible for decisions.

    i had 4 offers so far and all are between 4pm - 6pm
    one was sent close to 7pm. all on weekdays

    I got one at 7.30pm from Manchester last Saturday no word of a lie! That being said the admissions officer who I was e-mailing regarding my qualifications did seem to be working late or something. Wish you all the best!
