    I’m struggling with the function groups ester and Ether. I keep getting them mixed up. Anyone have any ways they’ve used to remember which is which?

    Ester has R1-COO-R2, while Ether has R1-O-R2. As you an see, the Ester has a C-Atom in the general formular. You can use this to make a mnemonic:

    The C is Ester's functional group is the core of the structure. Maybe in combination with a word play: R-COO-RE.
