So, I need some advice/experiences. I have been considering a year in industry for a few weeks. I am currently in my 2nd year of BA Social Policy. I did an additional year at level zero on a foundation year prior to starting my degree so technically this is my 3rd year at Leeds. I am getting bored and thought a year in the industry would help me. I am a mature student and already have work experience from the work I did before going to university but I still think a year in the industry would be more valuable. I have mentioned in the title I want to teach and thought doing a year in that work environment will allow me to know if it's for me or not before I do a PGCE. It also prolongs me having to get a real job!
I also have no idea how to find placements I have been looking online but it's not that easy. (I do have an appointment with a careers advisor on campus but it isn't until next week).

Any advice or input will be appreciated.

You could be a teaching assistant - try looking at your council's website where jobs in education are advertised
