Solve the equation:
10+x root 8= 6x divided by root 2
Give your answer in the form a root b where a and b are integers
Are my workings correct?
10+ x root 8= 6x divided by root 2
10+ x root 2 root 4= 6x divide root 2
10+2x=6x
10=4x
10/4=x
5/2=x
X= 2.5
When I substitute it in it doesn't equate

It is not asking you to solve the equation but to write it in surd form

x root 2 root 4=2x
Root2 times root4 is 2root2 not 2

Your mistake is on the 3rd line.
should be
10root2 + 4x = 6x
You need to multiply your 2nd line by root2 ..... every term is multiplied
