Last year I applied to do Economics but cancelled my application and now on a gap year. This year I’m applying to do maths. Three of the unis I applied to last year are unis I’m applying to now.

One of the unis has just sent me an acknowledgment email and I’ve signed into their personal tracker and see that they’ve retained details from my application last year, including that I applied there for economics last year.

I’m really worried that now my application for uni this year is jeopardised since those unis seemingly can see I applied to something else the previous year, now applying for something different.

    Any help is appreciated??

Maths and Economics are similar so I wouldn't worry too much.

You may get asked in an interview (If you have any) about why Maths (their main concern is likely to be that you're not committed enough towards your subkect).

Apart from that, I wouldn't worry to much since a lot of universities may simply want the $$$

It's fairly common that people change their mind, and the subjects you're applying to are similar. So no, you don't need to worry.
