Hey, i'm just wondering if I can use my personal statement intended for a chemistry degree for chemical engineering. In my personal statement I talked about maths, problem solving and obviously chemistry so I feel like it should be fine.

If you want to study chemistry then why are you applying for chemical engineering? It's a completely different course and personal statements for either one should be dedicated to the one subject. Talking about maths in general isn't enough, they'll want you actually to talk about chemical engineering, which is what you'd actually be applying for.

You might get away with it, but it's not advisable as they are quite different subjects. An engineering personal statement is better if it also talks about engineering. At some point, you're going to have to decide whether you want to study chemistry or engineering, and it's easier if you can make that decision before applying to university as it will enable you to construct a stronger personal statement.
