    • Thread Starter

Im on my second year of preparing for my IGCSEs and im not doing so well, its the first tests we did in school since the summer break and i got a U in math D in physics and I don't remember for chemistry, the thing is this is my first time doing the extended paper for Cambridge exam boards and i found it really difficult, im really afraid of not getting into a uni i'm trying really hard but my teachers are really hard to understand... will my grades affect my chances? Im trying my best to prepare for my second exams in the next 6 weeks... thank you and please help !

GCSEs are only really stepping stones for A Levels. Most universities don't even look at your GCSE grades apart from the top ones, like Cambridge. Obviously though you'll need decent GCSE grades to carry on with A Levels but in terms of university, they don't usually make a difference.
