Hi there , i'm in year 11 and have HUGE doubts on my GCSE results so i was just wondering what grades would i need to be a vet ? Also does anyone know what A-levels i'd have to take , i'm assuming they are the obvious ones like Biology and chemistry ? Do i need maths at a- level?

Take a look at these links, they are from different unis You are likely going to need to complete postgraduate degrees to become a vet, so you should look at god base degrees, some universities do offer full veterinary science/medicine courses

Chemistry and Biology are a must. Maths or Physics are useful to have. I have a friend who wants to go into medicine and is doing Biology, Chemistry and Government and Politics. She gets A* in most of her subject exams. It doesn't matter too much but it's good to be safe.

Not true at all... Postgraduate route is very expensive as you don't get student finance for your second degree, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There's absolutely no need to do another degree before vet med.

Do you think physics will be key ? Or should i focus as much as possible on Chem, Bio and Maths ? I struggle most with Physics ( i'd be surprised if i passed , my teachers is so shocking )

Do you pick 4 subjects or 3? And I doubt it would be key. If you struggle with Physics at GCSE you won't have much luck at A Level I'm afraid. I got an A in physics at GCSE but for A Level my grades are at C and D at the moment, sometimes a B on a good day. Don't pick it if you struggle with it and it is better to focus on the other subjects. If you picked Maths, Biology and Chemistry I'm sure you will have no trouble.
