So i only have three flat mates so far, two of them are very...well they don’t really socialise, are out most of the day and come back at night, when they come back, the door chime never goes off. Me and the other guy are creeped out by the fact that when they come and go, the door chime never goes off, if anyone else enters, the repair man, me or him, our friends...it always goes off without fail.

I really want to know how do they bypass it, one is a girl and one is a man.
    They are phantom flat mates?

idk what type of door chime is it, how does the chime sensor work?

Maybe they work for the Security Services and are thus equipped with mini EMP devices

Is this one of those that is screwed to the door, and there's a magnet on the frame?

Maybe the just switch it off before they go out.

banter aside, I am creeped out by her.
Could you by any chance just not be hearing it when they come back? does it run on a timer? so say after xPM it shuts itself off? Is there a way to disable it from the outside? if it works on magnets then you can buy sheet magnet, which could be slipped in the gap in the door and then could stop it working...I just can't think why somebody would go to so much trouble to disable a door chime unless it's late and they don't want to disturb you......or if they are bringing their body disposal tools back with them and don't want you to see them O_O

Bummer I don’t have the money right now for a cam to put on the magnet to spot if someone is holding a magnet to the door where the sensor part is at.

I really can’t be assed to sit by the door to check on this in person too.
Could you just ask them about it? xD "yo miss FSB, how you make the door stop doing the ding dong. Much thanks don't make me disappear"

Lmao, can’t let them know (reaches for the tinfoil hat)

Hey, at least I have something to ponder now. Might go get a magnet tomorrow to test it out.

If it continues I’d rather just put a bunch of **** near the door so it makes a noise.
Two can play at that game.
