I’m doing a one year A level resit course after getting not-so-good grades previously. The classes are small but I don’t really like anyone in them. They are all about having a laugh whereas I just want to get on and work as I don’t have long until the exams. All my friends are at university so I feel like there is a lack of a support network and I’m starting to feel quite lonely. I’m also stressed as I only have 8 months before my exams and both these issues combined are caused me to feel quite low and I’m starting to lack self-esteem. What should I do?

Honestly, you are doing this for you, I suggest you just keep going, keep studying and remind yourself of the goal at the end. You are doing this to get into Uni, and you WILL get there Feeling lonely honestly sucks so much, and there isn't much I can say to make you feel magically better I am afraid :/ But you should remember that it doesn't last, you WILL make sooooooooooooo many friends when you DO get to university and it will all be worth it, this is only 8 months that you have to do this for, then you have your whole life ahead of you 😊

I know it isn’t the same, but you could try to make a few online mates? So people you could chat to and vent with, I know it’s not the same as a physical interaction, and making friends isn’t always that easy, especially if you don’t share interests with people in your class.

My advise is to just keep reminding yourself why you are doing this, and there is nothing that will stop you stressing about exams, but you can just do your best, revise and do personal study and research on the subject you are doing, try to get a good headstart 😊 You will do amazing. You just have to keep reminding yourself that
