What you're saying is true to a point but I would argue parts of Birmingham are in the Black Country anyway, it's not as clear cut as the writer of that article is trying to make it.

North Birmingham (some parts are in the BC imo) has the more stereotypical accent, South Birmingham definitely doesn't. Theirs is a bit softer. Obviously there's lots of overlap.

People tend to over exaggerate accents all the time wherever you're from imo.

    What?
Ikr. Regardless of the black country accent (and im from up north in brum not exactly black country but I hear it even out of black country) brum still has an accent even if it's not black country like wtf don't people get. You obv don't sound even in south brum like a londoner or someone from Lincoln or Northumberland or Essex. There is an accent jesus.

How do you even describe a Londoner accent
    Two words:

    Coc* Nay

I hate the sound of my own accent (scouse) even though it's quite soft. I've lived in the south-east now for 4 years and still have to talk slow so people can understand me.
