    There's really no point in deleting the text of the post, as it's already been cached by google.

    Anyway you could potentially with some disciplines, but for Chemical and Mechanical it would probably be challenging to write a relevant PS. Unless you more or less purely focused it on fluid dynamics related topics, it may be seen as a bit weaker for both. Also it depends on what MechE courses you applied to - some focus more on the design aspects than fluid dynamics, so if the latter isn't a research strength of them and major feature of the course (I mean you'll do some thermofluids work on any MechE course, but those with highly active CFD/etc research groups are more likely to have more relevant optional modules and projects available).
