    Hello everyone!

I just need a bit of advice.

I am currently in year 11 and studying my GCSE’S. I am hoping to go to Oxford or Cambridge and study medicine because I would like to become a doctor, but I don’t feel like I’m “good enough” for them.

    My GCSE predicted results are:
    Maths A*
    English Language A
    English literature A
    Biology A
    Chemistry A
    Physics A
    Spanish C
    Art A
    Graphic products B
    Hospitality A

I know they aren’t the best results, but I’m trying to do so much revision and get even better grades.

At A level I am hoping to study Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology.

Do you think I should look at other universities, or try and stick to Oxbridge? Thank you.

With those grades, there's no chance at Oxford. Cambridge is more influenced by sixth form grades and BMAT.

Keep an open mind. You should definitely look at other unis - you can only pick one of Oxford or Cambridge, meaning you still have three other medical schools you need to choose. Don’t rest all of your hopes on Oxbridge, any medical school you go to will result in you becoming a good doctor, it really doesn’t matter!

Oxford you really need 7A*s minimum, ideally higher https://www.medsci.ox.ac.uk/study/me...cal/statistics

Cambridge don't assess GCSEs directly so much. However, you would be well below what is average and you would likely struggle to meet other aspects of the academic requirements.

You need to apply to 3 other unis anyway so obviously yes, look into other unis.
