I honestly thought this was fake; appears not.

Well... what could we have expected? I don't have to remind people that Trump became President.

Dr Tedros, who is Ethiopian, is the first African to lead the WHO and replaced Margaret Chan, who stepped down from her 10-year post in June.

He was elected with a mandate to tackle perceived politicisation in the organisation.

Maybe they see the ostracisation of Zimbabwe as a political move by whitey?

The UN is obsolete. Now who said that before?... I suppose he was right.

Common sense has prevailed. I don't know what possessed them in the first place. Still, at 93, he's probably not long for this earth which is a bonus.

Regretably I think it might get even messier in Zimbabwe when he actually checks out...

Actually, the Saudi kingdom is en route sorry! to giving driving licenses to women, and the Crown Prince Mohammed also announced liberalisation plans today (well, after-I-last-woke-up "today", not proper today).

...but can the King of Saudi Arabia boast of having once shook hands with Mike Atherton?
