So a couple of months ago this stranger guy at college decided to strike up a conversation with me. He was lightly teasing me which I wrongly took as offensive. (Was in a bad mood that day.) And my reply to his teasing was basically **** off. It wasn't said like that but I did tell him to get the hell away from me and I wasn't nice at all. Today I saw him in the college canteen after months and he was so nice/ chivalrous to me and kept watching me. I was so embarrassed to even look at him and looked down when I caught him staring. So why is he being so nice when I don't deserve it and was such a ***** to him. I feel really bad for what I said I humiliated him... Also does anyone know how I could possibly apologise to him....

Literally just apologise to him, there's no certain way to do it. Just be like, 'Hey, so I'm sorry if I was a little blunt last time, I didn't mean to come off that way.' And, just try talking to the guy!

Be casual about it. Buy him some food, say it's your treat and then just bring up it up like "hey, sorry I was such a ***** that one time blah blah blah so no hard feelings?". Done.

Don't dwell on the past. Unless you're a time traveller you can't change what you said. But you can put your best foot forward, apologise and try to speak to him.

Next time keep in mind how you talk to people. Frankly I haven't experienced this because it's strange for me to snap at random people I don't know unless they're purposely being confrontational/looking to fight.
