What advice would you give to a 17yr old about starting to get into a relationship for the first time ever. Things I should avoid and things I shouldn’t do. Things I should do?

I’d avoid saying ‘I love you’ too much, if you’re only dating and trying it out then give it some time before you say that.
And just be yourself, if you’re trying to get in a relationship with you then she obviously likes you

I would say communication is one of the most important things. If you're not happy about something, talk it out with your partner.

From what I see, a lot of teens my age seem to be dating just for the sake of dating, because they want to experience being in a relationship and have fun. So first thing is probably make sure you're not doing anything just for the sake of doing it (though it should be fine if you really just want to have the experience, this probably applies more to stuff you do once you're in a relationship)

But at the same time, try not to overthink things. If you feel happy, that's probably a good sign. If you feel upset or uncomfortable, do something about it.
