I’ve recently started my first year of college (6 weeks in) and I’m on half term currently, I wanted to know if it would be wise to get a part time job as well as studying at college. I’m asking because some of my friends have jobs now and they’re saying that they’re alright at the moment, whereas some of my older friends said they never got one because they wouldn't have had enough time to work. It is quite hard to say, as some students find the workload too much, whereas others have no problem managing their part time work around their studies. What kind of student are you normally? You could try to find the work, and then if it gets too much, quit. Another alternative is to look for a Christmas job - a temporary job which will earn you money, and you can judge if it is something you can do.
