Basically my mum works at the NHS and she's been looking for a job as a physiotherapist and recently it was found that a new girl was given the position of assistant physiotherapist. However the thing is, there was no form of advertisement done to inform other people that there was such an interview for assistant physios and my mum feels that its unfair.

Is it unfair, or would there have been a logical reason?

Not unfair at all, sometimes they pick a shortlist of candidates they think would suit the role
