Just wondering if IR is less competitive compared to other courses at LSE ? Like would A*,A,A and 8 As at GCSE be good enough to get an offer ?

They look at all your application. But by its nature its LSE so it will be competitive.

I'm aware it will still be massively competitive, but whereas these grades probably wouldn't get me onto economics for example I'm wondering if for IR this would be a strong application?

They look at your whole application and not just grades. If you bothered to look at the links I provided then you can see what people have on entrance.

The rest is down to what they think and its the chance you have to take.

You would be at the lower end if you managed those A level grades.
