I'm finding conflicting information on the mutual intelligibility of Farsi as a gateway to also understanding and gaining spoken proficiency in Dari and Tajik. The particular language program I have access to indicates that by learning Persian, you will be also gaining significant spoken language access to Dari and Tajik, thus, getting 3 for the price of 1, so to speak. I'd very much like any perspectives and suggestions on this topic. Thanks in advance.
