In my cover letter I'm saying my interest in IB developed through studying this module.

I'm taking a model that discusses financial and capital markets. Is that related to investment banking?

Here's the summary of the module:

    • The functioning of the financial system and the interaction of key elements in the financial system. The way the financial system can affect business, government and the economy.

    • The money, bond, equity markets and derivatives. How financial assets are valued.

    • International financial markets. The determination of foreign exchange and the arguments for and against relaxation of capital account controls.

    • The operation of the market. The way that market structure affects liquidity and price discovery. Market-making against electronic markets.

Yeah good module, provides general scope for finance. Probably will give you more knowledge about the markets, rather than what they do in IBD

more relevant to sales/trading than ib. if you a do a module that discusses PowerPoint, different shades of the primary colours and the align shortcut then boom offer is gauranteed
