# Binomial expansion alevel maths edexel watch

1. What would I substitute in as x to find a approximation to 97 to the power of two thirds into the expansion of (1-3x) to the power of two thirds?
2. If you let x be 0.1 you have .
3. I haven't touched this for a while, but I'd substitute -32 as your x. (1-3(-32)) = (1+96), which you can then do the binomial expansion of, not too sure though.

Unfortunately x = -32 won't work because the binomial expansion isn't valid for such a large value of x
