I'm 19 and I'm taking a gap year because of chronic depression and anxiety. I decided to start therapy and get better before going to university.
I've been accepted to Trinity College Dublin for entry in September 2018. By then I will be 20 and I'm worried I'll be too old to start university.

You won't be too old, people go to Uni in their 40's. I'll also move this to the International Study forum, so the experts there can help a bit more than me.

Firstly, university is not like school. Age is not as important when you can't tell just by looking how old somebody is.

Secondly, at age 20 you will be entirely normal for starting university. Many people take at least one year out, often more. You won't even fall into the category of a mature student, you'll be so young!

Universities have people of all ages attending, and it really doesn't matter in the slightest. People are unlikely even to ask your age.
