Hi there. I'm looking into independently resitting my science A-levels and I have a few questions that need addressing.

    CONTEXT:
I want to study Veterinary Science or Veterinary Medicine at university, and most places want AAA grades. I got BCC (in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths respectively). I also got an A* in my Extended Project Qualification so SOME universities will reduce my grade offer by one grade (AAB). All the universities I want to apply to will accept resit A-levels. If I don't get the grades this time around, I'll be looking into studying Bioveterinary, which has lower grade requirements (but still needs an A in Biology).

    QUESTION:
The Biology and Chemistry A-levels I sat were on the AQA exam board. In both of them I received a Pass in the practical component of the course. So when I am resitting them, do I also need to resit the practicals? And if so, how do I go about doing that if I am studying independently?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

You can carry forward the pass in the assessed practicals and just re-sit all the exams - you just need to tell the Exam Officer when you pay to re-sit that that is what you are going to do -you can check here (e.g. p50 for Biology).
