Hey all. I don't post here. Let's get to it.
I'll try to keep it short and sweet: I'm in year 13 and returned to the UK from the Caribbean after having lived there for almost all my life before year 12. Where I came from wasn't exactly the best and I didn't have the greatest work ethic.
I didn't know much about the sixth form system when I moved here and opted to go to an independent school. I had **** circumstances in y12 including living with a distant relative and undiagnosed mental health issues. Stuff's a bit ****.
In the Caribbean, I did CXC exams, the GCSE equivalent and got the equivalent of 6 A*/A and 1 A/B.
At AS I achieved an outstanding BBEE in Economics, French, Maths and Physics.
My teachers know my work ethic needed improvement and my situation was ****. I'm confident in what I can achieve over the next year. Aiming for a Computer Science or Electronic Engineering course in 2018. So, here's what I'm going for, conservatively:
I'd like to push that Maths to an A, but these are estimates from advice from my teachers etc.
I've got no clue and I'm lost. I'll talk about it later.
Hoping this will be more motivation to keep working hard this year. Let's find out.
