I've applied to Oxford, Warwick, Imperial, Durham and Birmingham for Maths. I will most likely get offers from all except Oxford. I'm pretty sure my firm and insurance will be Warwick and Birmingham. However, I don't think I'll be able to cope with the difficulty of the course at Warwick and I think I'd enjoy myself more at Birmingham. My dream career is working in finance and more specifically IB. Would my chances be significantly lower if I chose Birmingham over Warwick?

As you prob know Warwick is a target uni for IB. This is a no brainer. Birmingham isn't even considered as 'strong' semi-target

If and once you get an A/C, the uni you’re at doesn’t matter. It’s all equal

Yes but getting to the AC is the hard bit, or should I say 'harder' bit

Possibly. But everyone follows the same process - upload a good CV, pass the tests, pass an interview. That doesn't discriminate against uni.

And if a bank does, then you're probably not going to be happy or fit into the culture there.
