Nah my cat has had baked beans occasionally though he only seems to like the tomato sauce not the beans

Ha my cat ate sweet and sour chicken and noodles, with a lemon sauce on the side. Apparently no one told him that cats don't like citrus food.

Cats are fat gits. Don't worry about it.
^^ crickey what a food combo for a cat! hehe so true he's a right tubby this time of year

Nope, not at all. Remember that cat food has stuff like peas in it too, so it's all good really :P

lol, I bet his breath must stink

I think the worst thing is when a cat jumps on you and starts kneading you with their paws/claws :toofunny:.

it does, especially when he yawns crikey it reeks! I know yeh, you could be wearing a huge jumper but will then knead you where there is the tiniest space of flesh ouch!

Shouldn't be a problem in a cat really, only could really get a problem if the cat did heavy exercise, and to be fair I think the problem only occurs in large dogs.
no chance of that happening he gets chauffered everywhere. Oh dear i sound like a right crazy cat lady i've only got the 2 honest!
Depends how much he ate. Nothing wrong with the beans, but there's quite a lot of salt in the sauce, and that really isn't good for cats - the smaller the animal, the less tolerant they are of salt (think of all those horrible stories about babies who have been made badly ill and worse as a result of being given salt).
I'm sure he'll be fine, and if it disagrees with him the worst that is likely to happen is that he'll throw it back up. Gross, but not gonna do any long-term damage.
My cat used to like buttery toast, sunday dinner scraps - potato, yorkshire pud etc, and quite a lot of human food that he came across. I always thought it was dogs who would eat anything, but it seems some cats will :s-smilie:
(NB I use the past tense because my he's dead, although he had a long, healthy life, and not a junk-food induced early grave!)

henceforth, all good stories must begin with 'My cat ate some baked beans...'
Cats have evolved to deal with hot fresh blood, quivering just-dead flesh, bones to crunch, and a killer instinct. What makes you think baked beans would harm it? :p:

My sisters dog ate a month's worth of Microgynon (the pill) once, and he was ok - beans should be alright lol

Heavens, if they're bad for cats, they must be terrible for humans!

My cat eats spiders whilst they are still alive. It truly is a disgusting but amazing sight.
