So I’ve been with this guy for about a month. We were best friends before. He really cares about me and so on...

I have a dying urge to break up with him because I’m in my final year of school and I have so much work. As well as this, I have anxiety and depression and my moods change so much I don’t want to place a strain on him.

I’ve tried speaking about this before with him but he says he’ll look after me and I just gave in cause I completely adore him

Yes, I may adore him but I feel so numb inside and I wanted my last year of school to be the year where I am fixing my mental health.

    Any recommendations? Can someone help?

Maybe you should talk to him about the way you’re feeling? He should understand since you said he cares about you. I totally understand how you feel ( the depression and anxiety thing) sometimes you need time to work out things and sort it out for the better. If he loves you he’ll understand. Your mental health is important remember that. It should your decision and if you do decide to call it quits then don’t make up a lie just let him know you need some time to work on yourself and you can be friends. Good luck!
