Where to start? Revision ideas

Create a glossary of keywords and definitions.

Summarise your class notes into key points you need to remember.

Watch shorter video clips on YouTube or a documentary.

Summarise information into a spider diagram.

Listen to a TED talk / podcast.

Record your own podcast!

Create a card sort to help you match specific details to case studies.

Draw diagrams and sketches.

Create fact files for case studies, including location maps and numerical detail.

Draw Venn diagrams to compare case studies.

Study together – split the topic between you, become experts in your areas and then teach each other.

Write your own song or poem to help you remember key bits of information.

Create actions or dance moves to help you memorise information.

Practice geographical skills e.g. maps showing locations of hazards, graphs showing data, etc.

Write down all the information you’d like to remember about a particular topic. Ask a family member or friend to test you. Or recall everything you can to them and ask them to tell you what you missed.

Put short pieces of information on cards and place them around the house – ask your parents first!
